Book Prices

• Most Books are $10, more or less
• Some Books are FREE!!

WE ALWAYS ACCEPT BOOK DONATIONS!

Donations can be dropped off during store hours or in our porch book bin, at your convenience.

Have too many books to bring to the store? Email me (tien@theehenhousebookstore.com) and we can schedule a time to come pick up your book donation.

We generally DO NOT BUY books but we are happy to trade for a free book!

TRADE: bring in a minimum of 5 *acceptable books and get 1 FREE book, PER VISIT.

*What is NOT acceptable for Trade?

• Books in poor condition (with annotations and highlighting, or water and mold damage, or heavy wear)
• Encyclopedias, travel guides, textbooks, reference books, diet books, cookbooks, self help, business/medical/law books
• Abridged versions of longer titles
• Ex-library books or books with Free Little Library stamps
• Most biographies/memoirs
• Most children’s books and young adult books
• Comics and serial manga (we accept graphic novels, though!)
• Magazines, periodicals, VHS, anything that is not a book

Donated items that do not make it onto our shelves may be moved along to other organizations or responsibly recycled.

We’re Always Looking For

• Banned books
• Any Fiction: Historical, Romance, Sci-Fi, Mystery, Thriller, Horror, Etc.
• Any previous and current NYT/Goodreads Bestsellers (Fiction and Non-Fiction)
• Any award winning reads (National Book, Pulitzer, Booker, Edgar, Hugo, Newberry, RITA, etc.)
• Any “celebrity” book club or social media list making novels (Oprah, Reese, Service95, Obama, Jenna, and BritandherBooks).
